    Be greeted by chauffeur at Bandaranayake International Airport and drive to Negombo with refreshments.

    Situated by the shores of a lagoon, and a short distance away from the airport makes it ideal for travelers after long journey or who need to quick access to and from the airport. Attractions include

    • Old Dutch Fort Gate built in 1672, now a part of the prison
    • The Dutch Canal which was then a supply route to the Dutch Administration

  • Pinnawala / Dambulla

    Drive to Kandy

    • Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – an orphanage and nursery for the Wild Asian Elephants. It was primarily designed to care and protect baby elephants and today has one of the largest herds in the world.
    • Proceed to Golden Temple at Dambulla – a World Heritage Site. The home to the World’s Most Acclaimed Cave Complex of Magnificent Buddha images and Rock paintings.

  • Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa

    Early breakfast at 7:30am

    • Visit The Sigiriya Rock Fortress – one of the Seven World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka. An archeological site, it contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex. One of the best preserved examples of ancient urban planning.

    • Drive to the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa – another World Heritage Site. The second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s Kingdoms, Polonnaruwa reached its zenith under King Parakramabahu (1153-86) who erected huge buildings and planned beautiful parks including the large artificial Topawewa Lake or as it’s called “The ParakramaSamudyara”.

    • After breakfast visit ‘Spice Garden’ via Kandy – Matale Spice Gardens are among the best in the country.
    • Alu Vihara – a rock cave shelter where Buddhist monks in King Valagamba’s reign wrote the Tripitakas in Pali on Ola leaves, as indicated on the cave in Sinhala.
    • Muththumari Amman Hindu Temple – its outer walls are covered with hundreds of Hindu Characters, Gods and Deities.

    • After breakfast visit the Temple of Tooth – it houses Lord Buddha’s Sacred Tooth Relic, and home to the Esala Perahera.

    • Wake up at 2:30 am for the nine hour climb to Adam’s Peak. Around 6 am will be the breathtaking sunrise after which you can return to hotel at about 9:30 am for breakfast and take some rest before exploring more of the city.
